COMPUTER GRAPHICS COURSEWORK

3D Vivarium

A coursework study of hierarchical animation and predator–prey behavior in a bounded 3D environment. Articulated creatures bring together geometric modeling, joint motion, and spatial interaction.

The core assignment combines joint transforms, predator–prey interactions, wall reflections, and orientation along the direction of movement. The recorded demonstration shows the creature models moving within the tank as the camera view changes.

COMPUTER GRAPHICS COURSEWORK

Geometry, light & shading

An OpenGL/GLSL rendering study of geometric meshes, surface normals, materials, and illumination. The scene is shown under different lighting configurations, alongside a normal-visualization pass.

Project focus

The assignment covers parametric primitives, indexed meshes, normal visualization, ambient/diffuse/specular illumination, and point, directional, and spot lights.

The captures show the same geometric forms under varied illumination, making it possible to compare their appearance with the color-coded normal pass.

Creature studies exploring silhouette, anatomy, color, and form through digital painting in Adobe Photoshop. Created using a Wacom tablet.

Image preparation & original captures

Creature study 1 and its work-in-progress image have been prepared from archived photographs using AI-assisted perspective correction and image cleanup. Original captures are available for comparison.

Escapism

A SHORT FILM ABOUT VIRTUAL INTIMACY & DISCONNECTION

A man becomes absorbed in a romantic relationship in virtual reality while withdrawing from his life outside it. When that refuge breaks, the contrast between his imagined world and his isolation becomes impossible to escape.

Made for a persuasion assignment in a film class, the project explores how an idealized virtual life can deepen disconnection from reality.

The brief & story

The assignment called for a persuasive short without dialogue, built around composition, editing, performance, and independently recorded sound. Picture and sound had to complement each other rather than simply repeat the same information.

Story spoiler: After his VR system breaks, the protagonist’s crisis culminates in suicide. The film deals with depression, isolation, and dependence on an imagined relationship.

Content note: depression and suicide.

05 A DIFFERENT KIND OF CONNECTION

Same friends.
A new table.

REDS / A BROWSER CARD GAME

We used to play Reds together in college. When everyone moved to different places, I made a web version as a small way to keep that connection alive.

A personal project with a simple motivation: make it easier to spend time with friends, wherever we end up.
